Drake is Demanding That He Get’s Paid for the Term ‘YOLO’
YMCMB rapper Drake is threatening Walgreen's and Macy's for using the acronym "YOLO" on their merchandise. The phrase that my fellow light skinned brother popularized with his hit song 'The Motto' featuring Lil Wayne, at the beginning of 2012.
According to sources, Walgreens had a few caps labeled "YOLO" for $6 each, and while Drizzy was out and about he snapped a few pics of of the merchandise and captioned, “Walgreens….you gotta either chill or cut the cheque.” followed by “Yolo is my motto.” and another photo of a shirt that read “Yolo is my motto.” and the caption “Macy’s…same goes for you.”
Too bad for Drake though because MTV reports that there are already over 100 trademark applications for the infamous acronym.
Sorry Drizzy, this is one thing you won't be cashing out on! Suck it up and have a Sprite.
