Listen to a Snippet of Drake’s Song “God’s Plan”
Let the buzz continue. Recently, just about a week after a snippet of his Trippie Redd-assisted track "Pistols" surfaced online, a clip of a new Drake song began making its rounds on the internet. This one's seemingly called "God's Plan."
In the clip, a young man records himself singing along to the song at what looks like a party with a chandelier hanging above. After showcasing his pure bars on the Lil Wayne track "Family Feud," Drizzy pulls back out his half-sung flow for "God's Plan."
“I hope you don’t come and start no trouble with me/Trying to keep it peaceful is a struggle for me/Don’t pull up at 6 a.m. to party with me/You know how I like it when you loving on me/I don’t wanna die for them to miss me," Drizzy semi-croons on the upbeat track.
There's been no word from Drizzy on the snippet, but it's probably not a stretch to say it belongs to his forthcoming new project, which he's been working on for at least the last several months.
While Drake's definitely been on his music grind lately, he's also got his eyes set on world domination—speaking more specifically, Hollywood. "I'm sure I'll stop [making music] one day," Drizzy said in an interview this past fall. "When it starts to feel like I'm making it up. Hopefully I'll catch it before I ever get there, right? But right now it feels like we just started, so I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. But I do plan on expanding—to take six months or a year to myself and do some great films. Music's always there."
