Across the country, millions of voters have already cast their ballots. According to the latest statistics, New Orleans political analyst, Dr. Ed Chervenak, reported of the 28 million Americans who voted early, more than 55% were listed as Democrat. Here in Louisiana, more than 8.4% of the people have voted since early voting began Friday, October 16.

The huge early voting numbers continue to rack up across the country. However, folks are taking no chances with the their votes. Calcasieu Parish Clerk of Courts Lynn Jones said Lake Charles is headed toward breaking a record for the big early turnout. Jones told KPLC more voters turned out in just a few days than any other election in the city.
