Fall Back 2021- Clocks Go Back One Hour Sunday Morning Nov. 7
It's about that time! You can feel it in the air. Realy, mother nature lets us know when the time is about to change because it naturally starts getting darker earlier. Quite frankly it is for that very reason, I don't understand why we keep changing the time. Be that as it may, Saving Time or Daylight Saving Time for 2021 comes to the end this Saturday.
At 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, or just before bed Saturday set your clocks back one hour. “Fall Back” in theory is supposed to give us an extra hour of sleep. Does it work for you? I guess it does for me, but that's only because when it gets dark early I feel a sense of urgency to have everything done. For some reason, I feel rushed and I should be in the house wrapping up my day. Because of that, I tend to get to bed a little earlier too.
Ironically, mother nature runs on her own clock. As I said earlier, it starts getting dark early as fall turns to winter without people tampering with our clocks. According to reports, it is because of the weather that our days are getting shorter, and our nights are getting longer naturally. Likewise, when the winter solstice arrives around December 21 the daylighting process slowly starts to reverse course. Our days will naturally become longer and nights shorter until summer solstice begins next year around June 21.
Pretty cool right? Well, happy Fall Back everyone. Enjoy your extra hour of sleep!
