Former LSU receiver Justin Jefferson is used to breaking records, and now he can add NFL records to his resume.

This past Sunday, the Saint Rose, Louisiana native set the NFL record for rookie receiving yards previously held by Anquan Boldin (1,377) from 2003. He finished the season with 88 receptions, 1,400 yards, and seven touchdowns.

Jefferson also set the rookie receptions record (88) for the Vikings previously held by Hall of Famer Randy Moss (69) in 1998. Wait, he's not done yet, Jefferson also has the new record for most 100 yard receiving games by a Viking rookie with seven.

I remember watching LSU games in the 2019-2020 season and thinking he was a good receiver who was made better by the system that coach Joe Brady brought in. I mean, the year before, Joe Burrow was Captain Mediocre and then Brady shows up and the rest is history. However, Jefferson has proven himself to be an amazing talent and a steal for the Vikings, as five receivers were selected before him in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Congrats Justin. Keep up the hard work. Louisiana is proud of you.
