Future isn't going down without a fight. The Atlanta rhymer is countersuing Ciara's $15 million defamation lawsuit against him.

According to TMZ, the lawsuit states that that while the "Goodies" singer's fanbase is "reasonably large," her last album was a "flop" so Future couldn't have damaged her reputation -- as she cited in her lawsuit. It also cites that CiCi hasn't won an award in awhile -- 2013 to be exact.

You may recall, CiCi sued Future earlier this year after the "Where Ya At" rapper went on a Twitter tirade against the singer.

“This bitch got control problems,” he tweeted. “I gotta go through lawyers to see baby future...the f---ery for 15k a month.”

In response to the Freebandz leader's slander, Ciara slapped him with a costly $15 million lawsuit.

We hope that Future and Ciara can resolve this case amicably at least for Baby Future's sake. But it looks like that's not going to happen.

While announcing the finalists for the upcoming 2016 Billboard Music Awards on ABC's Good Morning America, Ciara refused to say Future's name while reading the Top Rap Artist list.

In the meantime, at least they're still stacking cash and making strides in their careers. Ciara appears on the cover of Essence Magazine's May 2016 issue. Plus, the 30-year-old singer is set to co-host the 2016 Billboard Music Awards alongside Ludacris.

Meanwhile, Future has a song with Jay Z that DJ Khaled orchestrated with the help of hitmaker Southside.

What do you think of Future's countersuit against his ex Ciara? Is CiCi's career too small to defame or nah? Tell us in the comments below.
