An announcement could come as early as today on whether Governor Edwards will send the state into Phase Three reopening or stay put where we're at.

He said before he makes his decision, he is meeting with the Louisiana Department of Health and waiting on recommendations from the White House Coronavirus Task Force.

Before Gov. Edwards' press conference yesterday, the LDH reported only 250 of 4,125 tests submitted were positive for COVID-19. He said the number of tests being taken across the state can be attributed to Hurricane Laura recovery and the Labor Day weekend.

The current order is set to expire this coming Friday.
