Happy Veteran's Day

Today as we honor the men and women in our armed forces, we remember those we've lost at the Avenue of Flags ceremony. From 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Casket Flags will line the drive through at the Orange Grove/Graceland Cemetery on Broad Street in Lake Charles.

These flags were donated for this day and special memory of our fallen men and women.

Also, congratulations to members of the Lewis-GIll-Lee Memorial VFW Post 7321, located at 2668 Hwy. 171 in Lake Charles. The local Veterans of Foreign Wars post was recently recognized for achieving "All American Status." This honor is based on gains in membership and participation in VFW programs.

Post 7321 Chaplain Robert Doucette told KPLCTV, "Presently over 7,000 VFW posts worldwide and based on what we do for Veterans and the service we give them, we came in at number 197 and that's really rare."
