I-10 Closed 8 Hours Today … Now Open

Yesterday I made a trip fro Beaumont to Lake Charles and saw this 18 Wheeler in the ditch. It was upside down and in a deep ditch about three quarter miles West of the Texas state line. Getting it out of that ditch had the interstate closed (westbound) for eight hours today..

This wreck caused some serious delays on I-10 yesterday and today. Yesterday the interstate was down to one lane westbound at approximately milepost 4. Today the interstate was completely shut down west bound at milepost 4. It was closed for approximately 8 hours starting at seven this morning. This resulted in heavy traffic on Highway 12 through Starks and Deweyville. The Louisiana State Police said both lanes have re-opened.
