I got to say that I was happy to have been able to attend the 2023 Juneteenth Freedom Festival! I had to work through some of the events, which kicked off on Friday, June 16, with the Movies Under The Stars. This year's event span across four days and from what I hear, everything was well attended. Special thanks to Patricia Daigle, who captured the following video and parade images!

In addition, to great attendance, there was no violence, at least none that I heard of. Thank God! That means everyone had a great time and that is what the festival is all about. So, I am thankful that no negative clouds were hanging over this event.

Once again shouts out the Southwest Louisiana Center For Health Services, John G. Lewis Sr. #165 Prince Hall Affiliated, all the volunteers, vendors, and entertainers who made this year's Freedom Day Festival such a success. Job well done everyone!

I enjoyed all the entertainment, food, and fellowship. I look forward to next year's event because I'm sure it will be bigger and better! Below are a few pictures I took while enjoying music performances at Festival Day.
