2023 Schedule Of High School Football Jamborees In Lake Charles And SWLA

The high school football season is almost here and coming up this Thursday, August 24th, and Friday, August 25th, 2023 there will be jamborees in the Southwest Louisiana area.

Football means Fall but Mother Nature is not cooperating right now. Nevertheless, football is back y'all! The jamborees coming up later this week is basically like the preseason for high school football.

This gives each team and school the chance to have a full-contact shortened game and iron out the kinks before the regular season starts. Week one of the high school football season will kick off on Thursday, August 31st, and Friday, September 1st for Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana teams.

Here is a schedule of all the jamboree games going on in Southwest Louisiana this Thursday, August 24th, and Friday, August 25th, 2023.

Bolton Ford Jamboree at Sam Houston High School

Iowa vs. Sam Houston, 6:30 p.m.

Iowa vs. Jennings, 7 p.m.

Jennings vs. Sam Houston, 7:30 p.m.

Sulphur Jamboree at Sulphur High School

Lake Arthur vs. Washington-Marion, 5 p.m.

Grand Lake vs. Westlake, 6:30 p.m.

Barbe vs. DeRidder, 8 p.m.

Friday, August 25th, 2023

Sulphur Jamboree Night #2 at Sulphur High School

Pickering vs. Vinton, 4 p.m.

DeQuincy vs. Rosepine, 5:30 p.m.

LaGrange vs. Sulphur, 7 p.m.

St. Louis vs. Welsh, 8:30 p.m.

So that is how it all shakes out for the Jamborees this week. Get out and enjoy some high school as the teams get prepped for the upcoming season next week. Football is back and we know everyone is ready!
