Lake Charles, Louisiana - Gas prices have continued to go down over the last few weeks, and we continue to see a downward trend over the last week. We're taking a look at the best and CHEAPEST places to get gas around Southwest Louisiana as of July 6th.

According to AAA, gas prices in the Lake Charles area are showing a mixed but mostly downward trend across fuel grades.
The average price for regular unleaded now sits at $3.59, up slightly from $3.58 yesterday but down from $3.61 a week ago and well below $3.89 a month ago. Mid-grade fuel is averaging $4.03, a dip from $4.06 yesterday, $4.14 a week ago, and $4.36 last month. Premium fuel is currently at $4.49, slightly below $4.51 yesterday and $4.48 a week ago, but still down from $4.77 a month ago. Diesel is averaging $4.46, also down from $4.48 yesterday, $4.51 a week ago, and significantly lower than $4.90 a month ago.
