For folks in Southwest Louisiana, you may remember a sports reporter we had in the Lake Charles area back around 2010 named Tiffany Blackmon. She was a sports reporter for KPLC TV here in Lake Charles. She spent time in Lake Charles reporting sports from around 2009 to 2011.

Here is a video promo she did for KPLC's coverage of the 2010 Olympic games. It's pretty funny!

Since then she has moved on to other sports reporting jobs and we found out today that she will be reporting on Sundays on CBS during NFL football games.

Since Tiffany Blackmon left Lake Charles, she has worked as an anchor and reporter for Comcast SportsNet Houston and co-hosted the weekly Houston Rockets All-Access show. She also worked at NBC affiliate KFOR-TV in Oklahoma City, where she was the reporter for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the NBA.

Now it looks like she has a new gig as she has joined the CBS Sports broadcasting team and will report from the sidelines during CBS's coverage of NFL games on Sundays.

CBS sent out a press release with the lineup of all the broadcast teams that will call games on television for them this season and Blackmon is on one of the teams. Here is the grid of the teams.

Her first game this season will be on week one when she will be reporting on the Raiders and Broncos game on September 10th, 2023 in Denver. The game will air on CBS at 3:25 pm.

Pretty cool to see a former KPLC TV personality make it to the national stage. Good Luck Tiffany. We know you will be great!
