Free Car Seats To Be Given Away This Saturday, Sept. 23 In Lake Charles

Have you ever wondered if your car seat or booster seat is the correct one for your child? It is important to have the correct seat for the size of your child and also to have it properly installed in your vehicle before you travel.

Good news for all of you who are not really sure. It's National Safety Seat Check this Saturday and there are events going on all over Louisiana. It is being put on by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission along with the Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force and the Louisiana State Police.

This is a free event where you can bring your vehicle with the current car seat you have and bring your child to and certified safety seat technicians will be on hand to check to make sure that have the correct seat for the size of your child and also to have it properly installed in your vehicle.

No tickets will be issued. This event is an informative event geared toward educating parents and caregivers.

They will also be giving away a limited number of free car seats to people who are in need of one. The event in Lake Charles will take place this Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at Southwest Beverage located at 3860 Broad Street. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to Noon that day.
