McNeese To Host Selection Show Watch Party On Sunday

Wednesday, March 13th, 2024 is a day that McNeese fans from far and wide will never forget. McNeese State University will be represented in the 2024 NCAA Tournament and on Sunday, we will find out where the Cowboys will be heading and who their opponent will be.

The Cowboys were near perfect during their two games in the Southland Conference Tournament, they never trailed once. In the Conference Semifinals, McNeese defeated Lamar 76-57 and defeated Nicholls 92-76 to win the Southland Conference Tournament and advance to the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

At 30-3 overall, McNeese matched the NCAA record for the biggest turnaround in program history by winning 19 more games than the previous season (Murray State 1979, Ohio State 1998, Texas A&M 2022). This will be McNeese's third trip to the NCAA Tournament and its first since the 2002 season.

McNeese will host a watch party for the Selection Show inside the Legacy Center on Sunday.

The event will take place inside the Legacy Center. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the event is free. Before moving on to other seats, fans will be invited to occupy the Platinum Club seats. The jumbotron set up for the Southland Conference Tournament will screen the show, which kicks off at 5 p.m. During its Selection Sunday broadcast, CBS Sports will live-cut in on the reaction during the show.

Fans can purchase championship apparel from Outfitters Ink, and concessions will be available. There will also be a pep band, the McNeese cheerleaders, and the Cowgirl Kickers. Following the performance, players can meet with fans, sign autographs, and take pictures.
