SWLA Radio DJ Says Disney Cruises Are Worth Every Penny

🐊 KNGT 🐊 | Lake Charles, LA —  Well good mornin’ Southwest Louisiana… your boy Scotty Schadler is back in the saddle after a whole week off, and let me tell ya, I missed y’all something fierce. Me, Laura, and Hannah took off on a Disney Cruise with another family.

Now I know some folks around Southwest Louisiana might say, “Scotty, them Disney cruises gotta be just for kids.” Nope. Not even close. This was our second one, and I’m tellin’ you right now, if you’re sittin’ on the fence… just go ahead and book it. You gonna love it.

What's there to do on a Disney Cruise?

Night one we did a bourbon tasting. Y’all know me… country music, crawfish, and good bourbon. That was a good way to kick off vacation. Met some nice folks, laughed a lot, and I may or may not have bought a new bottle for the house. Don’t tell Laura…

One of my favorite days was the beach in Progreso. Just white sand, blue water, kids playin’, parents relaxin’. No emails. No alarm clock. Just us hangin’ out like it’s supposed to be. We ate good, swam a little, and soaked up some sun before headin’ back to the ship.

Then we hit Cozumel. Did a little shoppin’, grabbed souvenirs, and I swear Hannah tried on every princess dress she could find. Which leads me to my most important job of the whole cruise… Princess Security. That’s right. I stood guard while Toot and her friends met every princess on that boat. Cinderella, Ariel, Belle… I was there makin’ sure nobody cut the line. Real serious work, folks.

Trips like that remind you what matters. Time with your girls. Laughin’ together. Put the phones down. Make memories.

So yeah, it’s good to be back on Gator 99.5 with Mike & Scotty in the Morning, but I’ll be honest… part of me still wants a Mickey waffle and another beach day.
