KNGT | Lake Charles, LA — Alright y'all, welcome back to another Cajun Weekend Weather Report. Well, August has officially settled into Southwest Louisiana, and if you've stepped outside lately, you already know exactly what that means.
Heat. Humidity. Those afternoon showers that just pop up are also expected. According to AccuWeather, this weekend is the classic Louisiana summer weekend. Hot temperatures in the lower 90s, but that humidity is hanging around, so its going to feel alot hotter.
Southwest Louisiana Is About to Get Another Dose of Heat, Humidity, and Pop-Up Storms
Friday
Friday those highs are around 93 degrees, which means its gonna feel like 107 degrees. Yes, you will be sweating even if you are standing still. Skies should be partly sunny, with those afternoon chances of thunderstorms. The good news is that these storms shouldn't stick around very long. Try getting those outdoor plans done earlier in the day.
Saturday
Saturday, is gonna be a repeat of Friday. Highs around 92 degrees, which will make it feel like 106 degrees. Those afternoon pop up shower could be around as well. You'll probably spend half the day wondering whether you need sunglasses or an umbrella. I'd bring them both just to be safe.

Sunday is bringing the heat, highs of around 92 degrees, this is the day with the highest rain chances. Lucky for us its only gonna feel like 102 degrees.
