Things To Do In Lake Charles And SWLA This Weekend July 28-30

It's the last weekend of July and there is a ton of things going on in the area.  Has this week taken forever to end? Are you ready to get out of the house, forget about work, and just let your hair down?

Good news, we did some searching around for you and found some things going on in the Southwest Louisiana and Lake Charles area. Here is a list of things going on this weekend!

One of the biggest festivals in Southwest Louisiana will take place in Lake Charles. The 2023 Marshland Festival will take place inside the air-conditioned Lake Charles Civic Center Coliseum on Friday, July 28th, and Saturday, July 29th, 2023. The doors open at 5:00 pm on Friday and 10:00 am on Saturday. Click here for the entire lineup of music. 

Swamp Pop Sunday is back at the Blue Martini inside the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles this Sunday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm featuring live music for four hours. The event is free to go and the band will be Louisiana Express.

The Farmer's Market will take place in Lake Charles this Saturday, July 29th, 2023 Downtown by the old city hall from 8:00 am to Noon. There is also another Farmer's Market going on Saturday in Moss Bluff on Sam Houston Jones Parkway also from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Friday Night at the Movies is taking place Friday, July 28th, 2023, and will take place at 2009 Simmons Street in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The movie showing Sonic The Hedgehog 2. They will have free hot dogs, popcorn, and sodas for everyone that attends. 

Brandon Ledet will be live for Sunday Funday at Mary's Lounge located on East Broad Street. The show will take place from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
