Grammy Nominated: Lake Charles Musician’s Collab With LSU Band
Earlier this month Lake Charles musician Sean Ardoin teamed up with Cupid and the LSU Golden Band From Tigerland to create the "LSU Chant Song".
Ardoin released the video for the "LSU Chant Song" just 11 days ago from today, and there's already news coming out that the song has been nominated for a Grammy.
Sean talked to WBRZ about the unique concept for his latest album Full Circle:
It's the first time that an artist and a marching band have totally collaborated for the entirety of an album. Most people just do a drum section or horn section. This is the band and my band collaborating totally like they're playing the whole time.
Ardoin is no stranger to the Grammy's, he's been nominated three times before this. "LSU Chant Song" has been nominated to compete in the Best Regional Roots Music Album category.
Good luck Sean, SWLA will be pulling for the big win and we love your song!
