Jay Z Launching Collectors Only Champagne that Costs $850
Jay Z’s latest venture is too expensive for my taste, but we’d guarantee there are 2,333 people out there ready, willing, and able to purchase a bottle of his expensive champagne.
Armand de Brignac, Jigga’s company, produces the less expensive yet still pricey Ace of Spades champagne. A2 will hit the market this month and fetch a price tag of $850, according to Bloomberg.
Jay Z isn’t just about the money though, because he is very much a fan of his own product. According to Armand de Brigac CEO, Sebastien Besson:
“Jay is a very strong businessman, certainly one that likes to understand what consumers want and here to build the business for the long term. “He always has a few bottles on hand for a celebration, I know that for sure.”
The A2 champagne collection is a limited edition of 2,333 numbered and plated bottles. Besson claims it tastes better than Ace of Spades, but of course I wouldn’t know because I also don’t have $400 to shell out on a bottle of champagne.
I'll stick to Rick Ross’s Luc Bel Aire for under $40. Sorry, not sorry, Jay.
