Jermaine Dupri Is Heading Out on Tour with Da Brat, Bow Wow and More
Jermaine Dupri and his So So Def Recordings squad are hitting the road once again. Today (July 30), the Atlanta-bred music mogul and artist announces the coming of So So Def 25th Anniversary Cultural Curren$y Tour, a star-studded trek that will include himself, Bow Wow, Da Brat, Jagged Edge, XScape, Anthony Hamilton, Dem Franchize Boyz, Bone Crusher, J-Kwon and Youngbloodz.
The trek, which will begin in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 14, will act as a prolonged commemoration of just about all that the label has accomplished during its 25-year run. Beginning this fall, fans will once again get the chance to see Dupri perform his epic Jay-Z collab, "Money Ain't a Thang." They'll also likely get a shot to see Dupri and Da Brat deliver a dope live rendition of "Funkdafied."
Getting more into the 2000s side of the equation, So So Def supporters will be pleased to see the names of Bow Wow and R&B squad Jagged Edge on the tour's roster. Seeing Bone Crusher on the stage should no doubt induce a wave of nostalgia as well.
Tickets for the tour will gon on sale this Friday (Aug. 3). For more information, check out So So Def's official website.
