Kelly Rowland’s Estranged Father Tries To Re-Connect

The last time Kelly Rowland seen or heard from her father was when she was 8 years old.  Three years ago Kelly went on a quest in search of her father and came up empty handed.  Now 30 years old, her dad is finally reaching out to her in attempts to reconcile.  Kelly's father,  Christopher Lovett  recently apologized for the pain he caused his daughter via a interview with UK Mirror.  The 65 year old said he was in hopes of that she would hear his apology and contact him.

So, why now?  Could he be looking to cash in?  Well according to the interview that's not the case.  He said " I own a big home now and have retired so I don't want any of Kelly's fortune, I just want her love.  I just hope she does not become such a big star in England on X Factor that she forgets about her dad completely.  I'm getting old now-I just hope she reads this and doesn't leave getting back in touch with me before it is too late."

Mr. Lovett blames his absence on his alcoholism and anger.  He admitted to trying to have security pass her a note at a Destiny's Child concert, but they didn't believe him when he told them he was her dad so they didn't take the letter.

Well, maybe she will read or hear about his apology and give him another chance to come back into her life.  Looks like she will finally get her wish to reunite with her dad after all.
