Christopher “Kid” Reid and Christopher “Play” Martin, better known as Kid ’n Play give the most informatively entertaining interview ever, with "The Breakfast Club!”

The legendary hip-hop duo talked about how they linked up to become a group, their history with Salt-n-Pepa, working with Hurby "Love Bug,” knowing Martin Lawrence before his rise to fame, and how the House Party franchise was created. Kid ’n Play also spoke about their divorces, what they’re up to now, and more.

According to Christopher “Play” Martin, Dj Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince could have been cast for their roles in House Party, but after a executive at the company witnessed the impact Kid ’n Play had on a group of children in the lobby of their building, he insisted to his counter parts that they star in the film. Play also said a lawsuit from New Line Cinema had against Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith could have played a role in them not taking on the roles. I’m happy things turned out the way they did.

The two rap legends also talked about embracing the hip-hop artists of today, and they are surprisingly more in the know than you would think. For more with Kid ’n Play, watch the full interview above.
