Today in Tha Wire, in case you missed it the Laker's put a wrap on the worst season in franchise history Wednesday night in Toronto, with closing all-star game stats at 17-65. On a high note, it was Kobe Bryant's final game and he went out with a win!  Bryant attempted 50 shots last night and according to ESPN it was the most taken by any player in the past 30 seasons.  Last night he also scored 60 points and it just so happens to have been the sixth time he's done that.  In addition no Hall of Famer ever score more 30 points in their final game.

ESPN reports Bryant was serenaded with applause by the sold-out crowd and after a brief speech, closed with, "What can I say? Mamba out."

Hours before the game several thousand fans unable to attend the actual game, gathered outside the Staples Center as a unified show of respect, to bid their favorite player a farewell. Throughout the night touching tribute videos featuring basketball greats like
Phil Jackson, famous Laker fan and acting legend
Jack Nicholson, Laker icon
Magic Johnson said of his friend,

"He never cheated us as fans. He has played hurt, and we have five championship banners to show for it."  https://youtu.be/coLwV6TtvXo https://youtu.be/UVxlvilWG8g

As Kobe Bryant closes one chapter, we wish him well on the next!  Another big thing that took place yesterday was the announcement that Badgirl RiRi's dropping her own make-up line.  That's right, according to reports Rihanna is gearing-up to launch an entire collection of makeup and teaming-up with the folks Moët Hennesy Louis Vuitton to give it some extra swag!

The line is gonna be called Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, and word has it, it'll be in stores in the fall of 2017. Though this is big news, this is going to be the third time the 28-year-old Pop diva got behind a cosmetic line.  The first time she hooked-up with MAC in 2013 for the limited-edition RiRi Hearts MAC color line. Then in 2014 she helped raise funds for AIDS research with MAC’s Viva Glam lipstick line.  Got some in my purse now...love that Ruby Woo!

Heads-up ladies the new line arrives on shelves next year!  For all thing entertainment listen to Tha Wire at 12:50 p.m. and 3:35 p.m. on The Peoples Station 107 Jamz.
