Kodak Black to Lil Wayne: “You Should’ve Died When You Was a Baby”
Kodak Black seemingly threw a shot at Lil Wayne during an appearance at Miami's Liv Nightclub on Sunday night, and the moment was caught on camera.
Standing in front of a crowd, Kodak began speaking on Weezy after apparently hearing the rap legend would be pulling up. “Where Lil Wayne at?...You fuckin’ maggot,” Kodak said. “You should’ve died when you was a baby.”
After the video surfaced, Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter, jumped on her Instagram account on Monday afternoon (March 4) to defend her father. For her response, she posted a picture of Wayne holding her when she was just a baby and in the caption, she wrote in part, “You new lil rappers need to start giving props and respect to the Goat. My father don’t bother nobody. He won’t even react to what was said. This man be in his own world so leave him tf alone."
Meanwhile, Kodak, who actually collaborated with Weezy on their 2018 track "Codeine Dreaming," went on Instagram Live on the same day to clarify what he said at Liv Nightclub. During the Live session, Kodak claimed that he wasn't going at Weezy and that he was told that Lil Wayne was "Finna pull up on you and come show you some love" during his show. But as the club was getting ready to close, he wanted to know where was Weezy at, so he called him out.
Kodak goes on to say that he doesn't want to fight Lil Wayne. "Why would I want to touch Lil Wayne?" asked Kodak, who previously expressed interest in fighting Tunechi in a celebrity boxing match two years ago. "He's getting old, bruh. What I look like putting hands on Wayne. I weight like 180, bruh."
In that same video, Kodak calls Reginae bald-headed and tells her not to come at him. Reginae Carter's mom, Toya Wright, wasn't having it. During Kodak's live chat, she hopped in the comment section and wrote, "Boy, Fuck You." In response to Wright's comment, Kodak commented, "@ToyaWright if I Ain't Have No Girlfriend I'd Fuck the Shit out yo fine ass."
