Lauryn Hill Will Avoid Jail Time for Back Taxes to the IRS
According to AllHipHop, Lauryn Hill has dodged a gigantic bullet, with a new deal with Sony Music the singer/rapper will not go to jail for her debt to the IRS.
Hill will record 5 songs for $1 million, which should pay off her debt to the IRS. In addition to the $1 million, she get additional funds to record an entire album, of which she as not release since 2002.
Lauryn Hill plead guilty to owing $504,000 in taxes after not paying for 3 years. I guess it's now safe to say that everything is everything. Pun intended.
