LeBron James has become the single athlete with the largest guarantee in Nike’s 44 year history. The Cleveland Cavaliers forward is set to make $60 million per year, and maybe even more.

Nike and James have etched out a lifetime contract, but have yet to announce the contract terms. According to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com, James' annual earnings from Nike will be "multiple times" higher than the $30 million a year Nike is paying Kevin Durant. This is now James' third deal with Nike.

James in the past has not only made it clear that he will finish his career at the Cavs, but  that he was also with Nike forever, citing he signed the deal because "I don't want to go nowhere else. "I'm Nike and swoosh for the rest of my life," he said.
