Fans hoping to see Lil Wayne on the Blink-182 Tour on Friday night (July 26) in Tampa, Fla. were greeted to an unpleasant surprise after the rapper was forced to pull out due to illness.

The show rolled through the Mid Florida Amphitheater and was set to take place at 7:45 p.m. However, a couple hours before the start time, Tunechi notified fans he would not be able to make it.

"Tampa feeling under the weather and Kant Go tonight Promise I’ll make it up to you guys!! ~Tune," he tweeted.

The venue also notified fans of the update. "DUE TO ILLNESS LIL WAYNE WILL NOT BE PERFORMING TONIGHT. BLINK 182 WILL BE PERFORMING AS SCHEDULED," they posted on Twitter.

The tour started on June 26 in Columbus, Ohio. At one point, there were fears that Wayne would pull out of the cross-country jaunt altogether after he ended his set early during a show in Bristol, Va. on July 11, telling fans, "I just want the people to know, if you’re wondering, please forgive me, but I am so-not used to performing to a crowd... and there’s not too many... that’s not my swag. I’m not sure how long I’m gonna be able to do this tour, but make some noise for Blink-182 for including me anyway. This might be my last night, though.”

He later released a statement denying he would end his stint on the tour. "Yesterday was krazy!" Wayne started in the tweet. "But I want all my fans to know I won’t be quitting this tour! I’m having too much fun with my bros blink-182. Bangor, ME See you tomorrow!"
