According to KPCLTV, the state Department of Transportation and Development has issued a list of road closures throughout Southwest Louisiana, here are a list of dates and times, which are subject to change.

CALCASIEU PARISH: West Sale Road at Canal Street will be closed through Friday, Oct. 3 to allow for work on the Sale Road Bridge Project. Traffic on Canal Street will have to exit at McNeese Street.

CALCASIEU PARISH: Barricades will be placed at the following locations at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 in Sulphur, in conjunction with the Sulphur High School Homecoming Parade: Cypress Street at Beglis Parkway, Loretto Avenue, LaSalette Avenue, Placide Drive, Stelly Lane/Maple Street, First Avenue, Willow/Kent Drive, Hickory Street, South Ruth Street and South Huntington Street; Bryan/Ash Street at South Ruth Street and Maplewood Drive at the west entrance of Chase Bank. The parade begins at 2 p.m. at Sulphur High School, heads east on Cypress Street to W.W. Lewis Middle School.

CALCASIEU PARISH: The following Sulphur roads will be closed from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, for the Smokin on the Grove BBQ Festival. Ruth Street, from Pecan to Cypress streets, and the outside lane of Huntington Street, from Tamarck to Cypress.

CALCASIEU PARISH: The outside eastbound lane on the Interstate 210 bridge will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday, Oct. 6-10. Crews will perform maintenance work.

CALCASIEU PARISH: Gum Island Road, west of Choupique Road, will be closed to all traffic from 7 a.m. Monday-Monday, Oct. 6-20. Crews will repair portions of the bridge.

CALCASIEU PARISH: As the Sale Road bridge project continues, roadwork has moved to the east side of the bridge. Traffic to and from Timberlawn Drive will only be accessible from the west. This phase of the project is expected to continue through November.

CALCASIEU PARISH: The LaFleur Beach/Prien Lake exit on Interstate 210 will be closed until January 2015. The closure is necessary so that crews can build a new exit ramp for the Cove Lane Interchange project. Eastbound traffic will be directed to the Nelson Road exit. Traffic on West Prien Lake Road will be routed to the Kiwanis Lane roundabout.

LAFAYETTE PARISH: US 90 Business (Cameron St.) will be closed north of La. 182 (University Ave.) from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Oct. 1-7 to allow for the replacement of an obstructed cross drain, weather permitting.

LAFAYETTE PARISH: S. Girouard Road south of Hwy 90 will be closed from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 while repairs are made to the subsurface cross drain.

LAFAYETTE PARISH: Albertson Parkway between Groveland Drive and Hillbrooke Drive was closed for three months to allow for improvements to the drainage system in the Holiday Gardens area.

LAFAYETTE PARISH: Beginning Sept. 30, Ole Colony Road will be closed between Ambassador Caffery Pkwy and Westgate Road for about three months to allow for a bridge replacement.

ACADIA PARISH: The Acadia Parish Police Jury has advised that the bridge on Connie Road, west of La. 19 has been closed indefinitely to through traffic.

VERNON PARISH: Work began Tuesday, Sept. 2 on La. 399. The closure will last for approximately three months and will include the area of La. 399 from La. 10 to the Fort Polk Maintained Area.
