The 1st degree murder charges against Lil Boosie, real name Torrence Hatch, stem from the October 2009 murder-for-hire killing of Terry Boyd. The death penalty as previously reported in the past is not on the agenda. The judge will be allowing the prosecution to use certain lyrics during the trial from Boosie's music to try & prove his role in the murder of Terry Boyd. Defense attorney's are against the use of Hatch's lyrics citing, "it's just a rapper doing his job."
