Marlon Wayans seems to get funnier each time he sits down to interview with “The Breakfast Club.” The actor/comedian dropped by to promote his upcoming sitcom “Marlon” on NBC. Singer Amerie even popped in, and it made for a hilarious encounter with the comedian. Marlon even brought up the now infamous Birdman interview, and more.

Marlon’s new show is about an inappropriate father raising his two children after a divorce, which is loosely based on his own life. Two years ago the “A Haunted House” star was caught on a yacht with a woman who wasn’t his children’s mother. According to Wayans, two years later he’s still paying for cheating on her.

It’s been 16 years since Marlon co-starred alongside his brother Shawn on their WB sitcom “The Wayans Bros.” His new show will appeal to a broader audience, as he recently told SouthFlorida.com,

"There is no such thing as a black family sitcom," Wayans says. "Humor has no color. A funny joke is a funny joke. It doesn't matter if you're black, you're white, if you're gay, Spanish. It doesn't matter. We'll talk about the state of America through the eyes of black people at times, but we'll also talk about it from every angle, because I'm an equal-opportunity offender."

“Marlon” will premiere on NBC at some time later in 2016, and also stars actress Essence Atkins, who plays his ex-wife.
