Master P talks about the role he could have played in the careers of 2 Pac, Eminem, Nas, T.I., and more.

Master P and No Limit Records ran the late 90’s and into the early 2000’s, opening the flood gates for artists in the South to not only be heard, but also be their own bosses and get the best deal records labels had to offer. But

No Limit Records wasn’t just home to Beats by the Pound, C-Murder, Mia X, Silkk the Shocker, Soulja Slim, Mystikal, TRU, Snoop Dogg, and more, but it could have easily been associated with some other all star rappers. Several of those top artists are still charting and doing major numbers today.

According to the No Limit Records Colonel,

“Anybody you can think of called me for advice or thinking ‘What can I do to get with No Limit?’ From Eminem to T.I. to anybody you could think of, we done had that conversation where they wanted to be with No Limit,” P told HipHopDX. “It was a sad tragedy, but [2Pac] was trying to get is life together, thinking ‘What could I do?’ Same thing with Snoop. People started checking for us, because they knew we was making money. They knew we was printing money.”
