Football season is back! That means the annual Block Party Concert Series return to McNeese State University with plenty of pep rally excitement the entire family can enjoy. Cowboy fans of all ages are invited to attend this free event.

McNeese Athletic Director, Heath Schroyer, made the big announcement Monday morning (August 29) on KPLC. He said they are thrilled to host another group of talented artists at this year's Block Party Concert Series. According to Schroyer, the free concerts will take place every Friday night before each home football game.

Make plans to meet up at The Grove, for live entertainment on the corner of Mcneese and Common Streets in South Lake Charles. All Block Party concerts will be in the same location, which is directly in front of the Robert Noland Alumni Pavillion on the campus of MSU. This is a family-friendly atmosphere, open to all ages, and complete with food trucks on location. Ice chests are allowed at the party so football fans can have their favorite beverages. Below is the artist line-up and performance dates:

Friday, September 16 - Chee Weez
Friday, September 23 - Three Thirty-Seven
Friday, October 14 - Band of Heathens
Friday, October 28 - Wayne Toups
Friday, November 4 - LA Roxx
Friday, November 18 - Bag of Donuts
