Meek Mill’s Cousin Is One of Five People Tragically Murdered in 15 Hours in Philly

Meek Mill's view on his hometown of Philly was definitely murky last night after receiving devastating news regarding his cousin.

This past Tuesday night (Sept. 13), Meek's cousin, Angelo Colon, 21, was shot and killed late in Philadelphia. Colon suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime. After receiving the disheartening news, Meek went on Instagram to mourn his tragic loss.

"Damn Lo! Watching my family die to these philly streets! Probation is the only thing that got me tied to come coming back here so frequent!! My mission is to save my family from these streets and change the mindframe of all my lil cousins growing up in it!!!! #RIPLO hurt me to see you in this same spot lifeless!"

Later, Meek posted a convo his cousin had with his Dreamchaser artist O'Melly back in June. The caption reads, "The moment you say "put the gunz down" and try to do the best for yourself is when things never go right! That's why I have a hard time telling these young kids not to protect themselves in a environment surronded by evil! Omelly last text "stay on point out there" #restuplo"

According to NBC, Meek's cousin's death was one of five murders that occurred in a 15-hour span this past Tuesday night.
