
Mid-City Little League Elects Its First Female President
Celebrating Black History Month, 107 JAMZ sends a shout-out to the first female Mid City Little League President, Mrs. Vickie Latigue Alexander. Congratulations! This will mark the first time since 1953, that a female will head-up the oldest youth baseball league.
As a reminder, it's time to register your little ones for baseball. Mid City Little League's registration is in full swing and is open to boys and girls ages 4-16. Registration will take place Saturday, February 14 and 21 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Huber Park located at 2401 Fourth Ave and the MLK Baseball Complex at 2009 Simmons Street in Lake Charles.
The following documentation will be needed:
Wee Ball and Tee Ball - Parents or guardians will need the child's birth certificate and one proof of address
Pee Wee and Up - Parents or guardians will need the child's birth certificate and three proofs of address
Registration fee is $60 (per child) for Wee Ball and Tee Ball and $70 (per child) for all other divisions. For more info contact Mid City Little League president Vickie Latigue Alexander at (337) 564-8572.
