Unfortunately, controversy is beginning to grow between Lil' Kim and the late Notorious B.I.G's mom, Voletta Wallace.  Though it's unclear as to why, one thing is for certain -- Ms. Wallace doesn't want Kim sampling her son in a new soon-to-be-released single by Monica.  To Monica's dismay she has been forced to remove Kim from her single "Anything (To  Find You)".  The track originally included Missy Elliott, Rick Ross and Lil Kim.  But because Kim's verse samples B.I.G.'s "Who Shot Ya," the singles release has come to a screeching halt -- that is, if Kim's verse remains on the track.

Reportedly, the track's clearance has been revoked by Ms. Wallace herself.  It appears there's more going on here than a matter of getting permission from Biggie's estate to use the sample.  It looks like it's something personal between Ms. Wallace and Lil' Kim.  However, that hasn't been confirmed or denied by either party.

At any rate, Monica is doing everything she can to get permission, clearance or anything else she needs to keep the track on her forthcoming album intact.  In a effort to clear the air, Monica turned to Twitter and tweeted:

"The clearance was revoked & I'm fighting to get it reinstated by the Biggie Estate.......We respect all parties involved & were gonna do WHATEVER to keep the song as is because Lil Kim the bizness on the record.....I am as thorough as they come and I lOVE Lil Kim bottom line is Ms Wallace has the final say and she said No.  If we put it out we get SUED."

We'll keep our fingers crossed.  Good luck, Monica.
