Mothers In Action: Breast Cancer Awareness Workshop
Brittany Manuel, founder of Mothers In Action Lake Charles (M.I.A.) is proud to announce their first Breast Cancer Awareness Workshop. M.I.A. is a none-profit organization for all moms looking to share, empower, and motivate one another. Moms form a sisterhood with other mothers with similar family dynamics. M.I.A. establishes strong bonds and new friendships with monthly support group meetings and by exchanging valuable resources that benefit their families. Thursday, September 13, 2018, M.I.A. seeks to expand their empowerment initiative through a variety of free community service events. First up is the Breast Cancer Awareness Workshop, taking place from 6:00pm - 7:30pm, at Central Library located at 301 W. Claude Street. Bring the entire family. Free childcare will be provided. Parents can join in on various workshops covering a vast amount of info on topics like wellness, cancer resources, and services with support and education provided by guest speakers and health specialist in the area.
