Nelly sat down with Ebro Darden and talked about his new music as well as the new label he’s signed to since partying ways with Universal Records, the label that gave him his first major deal. The St. Louis rapper also defended his infamous “Tip Drill” video being the reason BET Uncut came to an end in 2006, as they gear up to bring the show back on Tuesday, August 11, 2015.

Nelly also discussed the unrest that still exists in Ferguson, the suburb in his home town of St. Louis, Missouri. The town is in another state of emergency since the anniversary of the death of 18-year-old Mike Brown, who was shot down by police officer Darren Wilson in 2014. People are still protesting and clashing with police a year later.
