The hip-hop community is paying tribute to Nipsey Hussle on what would have been his 34th birthday today (Aug. 15). The late California rapper, who was shot and killed outside of his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles this past March, was loved by many.

For his part, DJ Khaled, who collaborated with Nipsey and John Legend for a song and video called "Higher" before the rapper's death, posted several photos of himself with Nipsey to his Instagram account. He also included images from their "Higher" video.  "Long Live @nipseyhussle Happy Birthday King ...The Marathon Continues," Khaled wrote in the caption.

Meek Mill, who was planning a collaborative project with the late rapper, went on his IG page and shared a drawing of Nipsey inside the pages of the Bible. "Prolific," he wrote in the caption.

T.I., who honored Nipsey with a special exhibit at his Atlanta Trap Museum, also paid tribute to the late artist on his IG account, sharing several photos along with a heartfelt message.

"Happy C-day Lil Bro... We've all faced trauma and dealt [with] death our whole lives but for some reason yours hit different even still we stand solid," Tip wrote. "You left an undeniable legacy behind for all of us to use as a blueprint to success. With love and respect, we represent & salute you daily!!! #TMC."

In addition to the aforementioned rappers, Nipsey's girlfriend Lauren London shared an open letter to the slain MC. "Today we honor you King," she wrote in part. "Today we should love and give truth because that is how He lived his life. His Purpose still lives on with us all. Ermias wasn’t a sad soul. He was a powerful strong magical soul. Today is the day we lift up. Long Live My other half. My beloved King Ermias. Nip Hussle The Great! I miss you. I love you. Still here holding it UP!"
