Everyone one knows I am a huge fan of the Whataburger, and anytime I'm near, one I'm eating there. I was pretty sad when I saw the news that another Whataburger location was opening up in Louisiana but it wasn't going to be in Lake Charles.

The city of Pineville, right by Alexandria, took to the city's Facebook page to announce that a Whataburger franchise would be opening up in early 2021.

That got me thinking: why not Lake Charles? I know we had one on Ryan Street years ago, like back around 2002, and it closed down. Now it's now a Starbucks coffee joint.

Why can't we get another one here now? Times have changed. If you go to Chick-fil-A or Raising Cane's, you can expect to see a long line of cars in the drive thru. I mean, both places are awesome with getting people through the line super quick but Whataburger would be just as popular.

My point is people don't mind paying good money for good food. I guess for now we will have to settle for the closest ones we have to us. There are at least two Whataburgers in Lafayette, and the closest one to us is in Orange, which is about 30 minutes from the Lake Charles area.

We need a Whataburger here! Who is with me? Okay, now I am going to try and step off my soap box without falling. That is all for now, folks.
