Post Malone Breaks J. Cole and The Beatles’ Record for Most Simultaneous Billboard Top 20 Hot 100 Hits
Post Malone already notched his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and the largest streaming first-day in Spotify's history as a result of his anticipated sophomore effort, Beerbongs & Bentleys, and it looks like he's not done breaking records on the Billboard charts.
According to Billboard, the songs on the album also shattered the record previously held by The Beatles and J. Cole of the most simultaneous tracks on Billboard Hot 100's Top 20 chart.
This week, Post clocked in with an astounding nine tracks on the Top 20—J. Cole and The Beatles were previously tied for the record with six simultaneous tracks within the Top 20.
Additionally, all 18 tracks from Beerbongs found their way onto the Hot 100, giving Posty a record-shattering 14 in the top 40 including the No. 2 record in the country with "Psycho."
The 22-year-old continues to shine with no signs of stopping. Beerbongs & Bentleys sold 461,000 equivalent album units for the largest opening week of 2018. The project was streamed over 431 million times in the U.S. last week, making Beerbongs the most streamed album of all-time in that time frame. The Texas transplant snatched that digital throne from Drake's More Life which garnered nearly 385 million streams in its first week back in Feb. 2017.
Both Cole and Posty are planning to celebrate their success on the road this year with a pair of separate loaded tours on tap. The Stoney rapper is joining SOB x RBE and 21 Savage for a North American trek that picks up again tonight (May 8) in Nashville, Tenn.
The Dreamville CEO also announced the KOD Tour earlier today (May 8), which will be supported by Young Thug and hit 34 cities in total beginning Aug 9 in Miami.
