So I was in Mississippi getting ready to head back to Lake Charles on Tuesday July 31st, but I couldn't leave without picking up a copy of the long awaited release from Rick Ross. It has been close to 2 years since his last big release "Teflon Don" was in the stores, so you know the anticipation was on high alert for "God Forgives , I Don't. I have my personal review of the release below, along with some of the cuts from the album! There are two versions available the regular and the deluxe edition. I of course had to purchase the deluxe copy that included two additional releases. The album actually has a feel similar to a movie and one of the classic soundtracks. Some stand out joints include the song "Pirates", which shows that Ross has lost a thing when it comes to this hip hop game. One of my favorites on here is "3 Kings", I think that this is most definately correctly titled, as it features Rick Ross, Jay- Z and Dr. Dre on one track and they pass the baton like their running a race in the olympics. He keeps the tradition going with "Maybach Music with the fourth edition featuring Ne-Yo, then he brings it home with with "Hold Me Back" this is one of those street anthems and actually shot the video in New Orleans.  "Sixteen" features the boss along withthe legendary Andre 3000 from  the group Oukast, and showcases the rappers showing that a hot song can exceed the traditional 16 bars in a song. There are plenty of hot tracks on "God Forgives I Don't and I feel like this is one of my better investments for the year. I don't feel like you will be disappointed and it is worth the wait. Props to the boss and the entire Maybach Music family, go and pick up your copy today!
