ScHoolboy Q, Rico Nasty and More: New Projects This Week
The final Friday of April 2019 is accompanied by a few long-awaited projects.
It’s been a while since fans were gifted with a new ScHoolboy Q LP. In the almost three years between his last release and now, he reportedly worked on three albums worth of music, with the end result being CrasH Talk. Teased since 2017, ScHoolboy’s fifth studio album features Lil Baby, Kid Cudi, 21 Savage and more. Travis Scott appears on the single “CHopstix.”
Fresh off her scene-stealing 2019 Coachella set, Rico Nasty delivers Anger Management. For the nine-song project, she teamed up with hitmaker Kenny Beats. The beatsmith produced the Atlantic Records artist's offering in its entirety. Collaborations with EarthGang and Baauer are housed on the Sugar Trap star’s latest release. Nasty and Beats also connected on her 2018 major label debut, Nasty.
Let the games begin. The final season of Game of Thrones is finally upon us. As the last chapter of the long-lasting series keeps viewers glued to their screens, the GOT-themed musical compilation, For the Throne, hits streaming outlets. Inspired by the record-breaking HBO show, the project features guest appearances from popular hip-hop acts such as A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$, Ty Dolla $ign and Lil Peep. A highlight found on For the Throne is “Power Is Power,” the collaborative single crafted by SZA, Travis Scott and The Weeknd.
