After releasing the video for "Mo Bamba" late last year, Sheck Wes' viral single has finally reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

According to Billboard Wes' smash Mudboy single climbed from No. 16 to hit the No. 10 spot this week. This for the young Harlem rapper comes not long after bringing "Mo Bamba" to late night TV.

Back in September, Sheck Wes opened up about the one thing he felt that was missing from his major label debut: Kanye West. In a series of tweets, the G.O.O.D Music signee expressed that he wanted Ye to play a bigger role in the making of Mudboy.

"I wish Kanye was more involved in my career. Idk wtf he getting into," Sheck tweeted at the time. "Tbh though i stay away and isolate myself, I haven't linked your other fav people because I'm too genuine for fake friendships and relationships and someone wanting pc."

While Sheck said Kanye wasn't that involved in his career, he has been making connections with other pop culture mainstays. Recently, Drake invited the young rapper out onstage with him during a show in Toronto. Lebron James invited him to perform at his wedding anniversary party.

Sheck Wes is set to perform around the country once he hits the road with Travis Scott for his Wish You Were Here Tour with Trippie Redd and Gunna later on this week.
