Today in Tha Wire one of America's happiest and most hungover chiefs Anthony Bourdain, is not only known for his tantalizing recopies, but his hit TV series "Parts Unknown" on CNN. Last week the world renown chief and his camera crew got the ultimate tour of Houston from an unlikely source, as they shot footage for a future episode of his show.

Turns out the iconic chief/author
enlisted rapper Slim Thug to help him take in the culture, cuisine and
Slab Life of H-Town.  The Boss Hogg took Bourdain to the hood where "BBQ Lives On," to grub at his favorite eatery joint,
Burns Original BBQ.  Known for their slow-cooked chopped meats, links and loaded baked potato's the TV chief was quick to agree Burns was the perfect place for some "Q."

According to reports, along the cultural gravy train Bourdain stopped off to other Houston eatery's like;
Himalaya Restaurant at 6652 Southwest Freeway, the fly patio bar
La Grange Houston in Montrose and
Plant It Forward at the University of St. Thomas and the popular Indian grocery store
Keemat Grocers at 5601 Hillcroft where the chief was greeted with a special welcome dance.

Closing out a week of good eats, the TV chief was treated to a different kinda slab when his rappin tour guide, showed him some of the finest vehicles in South Texas. Check out some pics of Anthony Bourdain's week in Houston.  As of now, we aren't sure when this Houston episode of "Parts Unknown" will air, but you may wanna check local listings for the dates and times.
