American Idol

May 2012:  Southwest Louisiana was in a frenzy as Westlake native Joshua Ledet climbed the ranks of American Idol.  Joshua Ledet was everywhere you turned. And then, all of a sudden?  Nothing.  And we've been waiting eagerly to hear what's next for mega-talented singer ever since.  What's Josh been up to?  Well, we asked him.

We actually had two superstars make the American Idol "Top 20" and that in itself is a huge accomplishment.  Following in the footsteps of Joshua Ledet, was 18 year old Breanna Steer from LaPlace and 19 year old Burnell Taylor from down the road in New Orleans.

It was the last fight to get into the Top 20 for both the men and the ladies during last night’s episode of 'American Idol.'

Miguel, is making a name for himself and making his mark on music history.  This year he's up for several Grammy awards, no doubt getting much deserved recognition for all his hard work.

The drama continues with American Idol and the killing part is, the first episode hasn't aired yet.  This week more drama unfolded when the lead singer of Aerosmith and former American Idol judge Steven Tyler was ask about the judging process of the show and it's current panel.

Our hometown favorite, turned American Idol superstar Joshua Ledet is coming home this weekend to perform the National Anthem in Cowboy Stadium.

Already?  Yep!  It all took place on the set during an audition for American Idol's Season 12 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Just in case you weren't able to make it, Joshua Ledet didn't disappoint during his performance in Lafayette during the American Idol Live Tour.

So I have to keep it real, I really haven't watched American Idol since Fantasia was chosen, that was until Joshua Ledet came on board this season. Well kinda like everyone else who vowed to not watch it again after Joshuas lost may have a change of heart. The reason, how about Mariah Carey being a judge.

Mariah Carey has officially joined ‘American Idol‘ as a judge for Season 12, which kicks off in 2013. Congrats not only to Carey but to Fox on this major, major coup. While it seemed that producers had a challenge on their hands in trying to find a suitable A-list replacement for the departing Jennifer Lopez, they outdiva-ed the diva with this addition.

Money talks, and while Mariah Carey hasn’t commented on the ‘American Idol‘ rumors, her doting hubby sure has. Nick Cannon flat out said that Mimi doesn’t come for cheap.

He's multi talented and with now signs of slowing down, Neyo is prepping the release of his 5th studio album.  Neyo's been a busy man, making movies and tending to his signature hat collection "Francis Ellargo", but now it's time for music.
