Christmas music

An iconic Christmas classic has such a sad back story that once you hear the story you might never listen to White Christmas the same way again.

It's hard to believe such a peaceful song could create such a controversy. But that's what the Internet was apparently made for.

I love Christmas music. With the exception of two songs, I enjoy the majority of the festive tunes, but I do have my favorites and I have my reasons!

Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year and this year we are getting ready to be chipper, joyful and most of all thankful for what we receive and get for the Christmas Holiday Season. I love the kids being happy about the presents, the time off from the job and of course that family time with loved ones...

For the sake of spreading some holiday cheer, here are a few of my all time favorite hip-hop Christmas songs, some a little more off color than others, but still my favorites none-the-less. Check out my list below and lets reminisce!

In case you haven’t heard, Mary J. Blige is ushering in the holiday season a little early this year.  The Queen of Hip Hop Soul  just-released her new single, ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.’

It's been about two years since we've heard anything new from Mary J. Blige.  The Queen of Hip Hop/Soul released 'My Life II....The Journey Continues' in 2011 and has been relatively quiet, until now.  I'm happy to say Mary J is back and bringing a little soul to this years holiday season with her new Christmas album.

Merry Christmas to all of you out there on behalf of my family as well as the entire 107 Jamz family here. This is a time where we not only should be thankful to be with our families, but also very happy that we are here to see another Christmas.
