This past week I noticed something peculiar happening across SWLA.

This year's Veterans Day celebration in Lake Charles will reportedly coincide with the Heart Walk.

On Saturday, November 11 at 11 a.m., the City of Lake Charles Mayor’s Armed Forces Commission will host the annual Veterans Day ceremony.

The term "decorated officer" is certainly one that applies to the gentleman chosen to speak at the Lake Charles Mayor’s Armed Forces Commission Veterans Day observance on Saturday. Brigadier General Gary Brito is the commander of the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk.

On Saturday, November 5 at 10 a.m., the City of Lake Charles Mayor’s Armed Forces Commission will host the City’s annual Veterans Day observance activities.
