Taraji P Henson lands the lead role in a new CBS pilot!

One of my favorite actresses is getting a potentially new tv series. I hope that this will make it since she has definitely been putting in the work.

Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) is headed to the small screen as the female lead in Lost creator J.J. Abrams’ CBS pilot, Person of Interest. New York magazine’s Vulture blog reports that the show centers around “an ex-CIA agent who is recruited by a crazy billionaire to help fight crime in New York City,” and Henson is slated to play a detective on the show. Interestingly, she’s played both sides of the law on film: as a cop in last year’s Date Night and a prostitute in the 2005 Oscar-nominated Hustle & Flow.
