The D.O.C is that guy and was a major influence over the sound of NWA. He is originally from Dallas and was very instrumental as far as the music and the lyrics that he wrote. Unfortunately he got into an accident and it shortened his career and everyone thought that he was done.

 

The good thing about it was that Dr. Dre was a real friend and brought The D.O.C over to Deathrow and they hits began. He did alot of writing along with Snoop and more and has plaques out of this world for many hits that he has under his belt. He recently sat down with DJ Vlad and talked about Ice Cube leaving and more. Check out the interview below.

His voice has really come a long way and I am hoping that he will be coming back with some new music soon. He still worked with Dre some on the Compton album and was also portrayed in the Straight Outta Compton movie. Check out a classic video below of some of his biggest hits.
